Yes, it's really me who is accepting and smiling about the snow. I promise I won't be in February, but for now it's ok. Today we got a nice blanket of snow to cover the ugly, dying world all around. I rushed out to get Easton some gear. I didn't even have a coat for him. At Target I was glad to see that I was in good company, however.
Easton loved it!I'm pretty sure he would have stayed out there for hours had he warm fingers. He was so bundled in blue he was roasty toasty. Any good suggestions on how to keep a 2 year olds fingers warm? His Old Navy mittens are barely better than nothing. Maybe I just need to have 5 pairs and switch em when they get wet and cold.
He's feeling lots better. Still not 100%, but at least he can sleep through the night. (Exactly why we don't have more kids yet) He had a horrendous cold 3 weeks ago (the one I got), then it turned into a sinus infection, as did mine, and then this week he's battled roseola.
Funny Story: Tonight when Easton was finishing dinner he started rubbing his head. I could tell his head hurt so I started rubbing it, as I have been doing. Don't you agree nothing feels better when your face and head are pounding? Anyway, every time I would stop he'd grab my hand and put it back on his head. After a few minutes i could tell he was enjoying it a little too much and he'd soon be full on asleep. So I stopped, he jumped up, and with groggy eyes said "bye duck." So funny! Now I have an idea of what he dreams about. I've always wondered.
The bummer about having a new camera: trying to find the downloaded pictures to blog. Wish me luck. Easton really did look cute in his snowsuit.

can you find some water resitant gloves/mittens for him. That is what carter uses, they are mittens but he learns how to use his hands in them and stay warm.
There are these mittens that go all the way up to the elbows. Can't remember the name though. something like elbow mittens???
Yes Lisa! I was just going to say the same thing! We have them and they are wonderful- last more than one season, leave their wrists warm and dry, little ones can't pull them off, and keep those fingers super toasty:

I got mine off of amazon, do a google search for the best price or free shipping.
Awesome - thanks!
I'm so glad you are all feeling better and had a great time in the snow.
