Ok, so I have totally lost track of counting days on my diet. In fact, I have lost track of my diet. However, I don't consider myself failed. I still follow the guidelines fairly well, but I have transitioned to a longer lasting healthier way of eating, rather than super strict, impossible to maintain diet. I got far enough to see progress and feel lots better, and that's keeping me mostly straight. The diet helped me to retrain myself into better eating habits. I've had a crazy schedule that's haltered my exercize a bit but I'm running again and it feels oh-so-good. You all saw it coming, but I swear it's the fresh peaches and freezer jam's fault! Simply scrumptious. But, in moderation.
About the race - I found out it's on Thansgiving day which causes 2 problems. First, I have no idea what we'll be doing or if we'll be travelling. Second, it's going to be cold!! I guess that's why it's called the Cold Turkey run. Although I've always thought it would be fun to run a race before the only day of the year designated to the specific act of eating and glutony. I'll keep running, though. There'll be another race.

congrats on changing your eating habbits to be more healthy, that is soo hard to do.
I want to talk to you more about running, I would like to get in shape also. is winter a bad time to do it though?
Winter makes it harder to force yourself out, and can be dangerous if it gets slippery, but I used to run in winter a lot when my lungs could handle it and loved it. I've heard that you burn more calories running in the winter b/c your body's also trying to stay warm. True? I don't know, but I choose to believe ;)
