Art

I love art. Surprise, I know. I'm the one who'd rather have nothing on her walls than a random print from Target. Everything's gotta mean something to me, though. I especially like original art, whether it's from my neice, somone famous, or a no name on the street. Enter Tiny Showcase. It's a funny little website that sells original art every Thursday in limited edition prints. And cheap. Usually each peiece sells for about $20. And to top it off the proceeds go to a charity of the artists choice. All around a feel good fun thing. Some of the art is bizarre and weird, others are sweet, some are deep. They sell out almost immediately so you have to subscribe to their emails heads up and be on the ball. Here's a few recent pieces that were featured - that I like. "Somewhere Better" by Ray Fenwick

"Together" by Jack Long

"Gluttony" by Julie Morstad
(This one just makes me giggle - it's the opposite of those obnoxious Yoplait commercials: "it's that good!")

You have good taste! What a neat concept, too- you'll have to let us know if you are able to buy one sometime.
