Backpack Rescue

I needed to find some nice backpacks recently. Can you believe I couldn't find any anywhere? (except tonight, after I got them all I did find a few cheesy ones at TJ Maxx-for $12-$15) So I hit up the local thrift store, that'd be the DI for you locals. I found 2 packs in perfect condition, except for the name printed on them in permanent ink. Ugh! Sister to the rescue! My brilliant sis, Karen, suggested that I sew some fabric over it. So that's exactly what I did! It was so easy-took 5-10 minutes each, and I think it actually looks really cute too. $1.50 per pack and some stitches later, this is what I ended up with:
