Advent Calendar

"Is today Christmas? Is it tomorrow? Santa's coming!" After a few hours of this we decided that we needed a countdown calendar. After a few minutes of searching online we found this one. Love it! There's also a link on that page for a newer nativity scene that's bloder/fresher/vivid colors that I really liked. But, it's not puzzle form-you build the nativity scene piece by piece. Awesome for kids a little older.

My favorite parts are that it focuses on the Savior's birth rather than Santa, it's a fun puzzle for varying ages and there's a related scripture and activity for each day. And no matter your defined religion, as long you believe in Jesus Christ, this calendar will work for you!

I brought it to Alphagraphics on a memory stick, had them blow it up to 11x17 and laminate it. When I got it home I cut out the puzzle pieces (be prepared for sore fingers!), attached velcro to each piece and put magnets on the back so we could hang it on the fridge. Voila!

I am confused. why do you need velcro if you are using magnets?

Cute idea! You know what is funny? I did this exact one with my girls in PA a few years ago, but we just used glue and it definitely wasn't reusable. Nice!
