On our way home from the splash park this afternoon Easton had a severe allergic reaction to something. Still don't know what. I brought him to our Dr. (also an urgent care) and they stuck him with an epi pen and he cleared right up. It was so scary, though! The good part is that he is fine, and now I know what a reaction looks like in him-or can look like. So I feel more confident in knowing when and how to use the epi pen.
Easton was coughing like crazy and couldn't breathe without a heavy wheeze. His face and eyes were all red and I couldn't tell for sure if it was swollen, but now I see it was. He was also scratching his head like crazy after a while.
More good news: They highly recommended having Easton retested for allergies. If you may recall, it takes a ridiculous 6-plus months to get in to the one we like. BUT-Luke has an appt scheduled in a month or so. An appt I've been planning to cancel. He's doing great eating everything that we do without problems(ya!), so I thouht I'd save myself the $40 and half a day of annoyance. Which means...an opening! If they give me any grief, so help me...
