Ya, that's probably about what this little morning adventure will cost us. For those who asked:
There's no problems with Luke's mole right now. The potential problem lies in the future. It's concerning because:
1. It's already changed a lot. In fact, every month it looks different in some way. This makes it hard to establish what is 'normal' for it.
2. It's irregularily shaped and colored already.
3. It's in a place that will receive lots of direct sunlight.
4. It will be covered with hair, and therefore will be harder to look at for changes in the future, and more easily forgotten about.
5. I'd just die if he got cancer in 30 years, when we could have prevented it better!
Besides all that, we figure he won't remember this, he'll heal quickly, and he doesn't have any hair to worry about a big bald spot for a while (you agree on that one, right Cher?)
A plastic surgeon is performing the surgery, so I'm sure his head will be gorgeous :) Now if only I could have him help me a little at teh same time for the same price...
