Ahhhh, this is good. Moments like this don't come around too often. Luke and I have been bitten by another cold bug, so we're working hard to fight it off early. So far so good. Haven't gotten too miserable yet. Because of this, Luke was down and out at 6 'o clock tonight! He usually checks out around 7:30-8 pm. Easton and I had a nice evening together. He's really into baths right now. Don't totally get it. But asks for one all day. So he had a nice long bath and went to bed and only talked to himself for about 15 minutes before checking out himself. I finished cleaning the bathrooms and kitchen, tidied up the little that was needed, read my scriptures, and here I sit. Quiet, peaceful, bliss that I can totally enjoy without that nagging feeling that I should be doing something else. Dave works 'till 10 tonight so I have another half hour or so before I see him.
Yesterday we got our new countertops! It's so wonderful. I am enjoying sitting here way too much to get off my duff and take a couple pics for you, but I will soon. My house looks so much cleaner, bigger and more put together. It was also a nice incentive to clean the bathrooms, with all that dust and grime flying around. Not to mention having a potty trained (I never tire of saying that!) toddler encourages me to clean each bathroom at least once a day anyway. Boys. Yuck. Anyway, you can look forward to that coming up soon.

oh I love those rare times also when the kids are in bed andy ou feel accomplished. I didnt know you were getting countertops, how exciting! can't wait to see.
Yes boys are yuck to clean up after in the bathroom. I keep disinfecting wipes on the back of all my toilets and CArter knows if he misses he has to wipe it up himself. but somehow I still have to do the majority of it.
I'm so glad you got a moment to yourself Kel. I believe as moms sometimes we forget to take time to do something we WANT to do and not feel guilty about it. I told Brooke I need a half hour all to MYSELF each night where I get to read my book. We as moms need it. Hope you get another moment free soon.
You got new countertops??? I knew you were thinking about it . . .I wish you would have told me on the phone yesterday because that is big news and something to celebrate:)
Can't wait for the picures. What a great surprise. Enjoy the quiet moments, they are rare.
