7 Months

30 weeks (I had to ask the doc last week) and I'm officially an elephant. I looked down at my legs last night while bathing Easton and realized that they look like an elephant's. By evening I have no ankles. The skin all over my body feels like it's going to split open, especially my legs and belly. Do elephants sweat? Cause I sure do. I'm a walking oven and choose to remain indoors with as little clothing as I can get away with. My skin is still a mess with constant unattractive breakouts plaguing me.

On the bright side, however, and yes there's a bright side! Baby's doing great. My glucose and other tests have come back fine. When I wake up in the morning the swelling usually has subsided and I have cute ankles for a few hours. I eat ice cream at least once a week and don't feel guilty about it or like I better run a few miles to make up for it.

The nursery's been painted and I am going through clothes. It's fun to get out the cute itty bitty rompers and think of all the sweet parts of having a baby rather than the not so glamorous parts. I am getting a little sad knowing that Easton isn't and won't be my baby anymore, but my big boy. but it's helping me enjoy this time left with him a bit more.

Oh Kelly! You may feel like an elephant, but you really do look awesome! The swelling does stink tho. No fun! In the meantime, slurp up that ice cream and do not feel guilty about cranking up the a/c.

PS you should post another belly shot if you are going to update us on everything else! :)

You are NOT an elephant! I'm sure because elephants are pregnant for 3 years and you only have 7 weeks left to go. Yippi!!!

You could do what elephants do. roll around in mud and splash dirt on yourself to keep cool, cuz they dont sweat. lol

You poor thing. hang in there!
I used to sit on my air conditioning vent when I was due in Sept also. : if that helps :)

Last night when I saw you, I thought you looked great, so if you are feeling huge and gross, you hide it well

So sorry that sound totally uncomfortable. Having a fall baby makes for a very tough summer pregnancy. ICK! I am glad you are getting a ton don. I bet you can't wait till OCT~!

I'm sure you feel like an elephant, but your not. Just think of how skinny you will feel after this baby is born and the swelling is gone. I remember after Sam and Shi how I thought my ankles were so skinny I looked like a starved person. I'm so glad the baby is doing great, and that you are accomplishing everything you want before he comes. I'm so excited for you to have him.
