Home Alone

Yes, be jealous. Very jealous. I was lucky enough to have a weekend home alone! Dave and Easton went down south to his parents house Thursday evening and I stayed put. It's a long story how it all came about, so suffice it to say it did! They stayed until Saturday night. By the time they got home I was exhausted! I played hard and enjoyed every second.

To sum it all I briefly I enjoyed eating out, and lingering, with girlfriends, a pedicure, haircut, a chick flick, and loads and loads of shopping. I made a list of everywhere I had been wanting to hit but never can with a 2 year old in tow. I'm happy to report that I hit them all, and then some! I didn't buy a lot, and nothing really noteworthy of reporting. But it was fun!

I originally had grand intentions of getting all sorts of house projects completed, but in the end decided those could continue to wait. If I had had a few more days...

I did miss my men, don't get me wrong. I was so glad to see them walk through the door, and even more glad to see that they were just as excited to see me. There is much truth in the quote, "distance makes the heart grow fonder." I think it's very healthy to have a little seperation to remind me what those things are that I love so much about them and how I'[m incomplete without them. And vice versa. And I think it's good for kids to see that parents need time for themselves too.
