Fatty

Instead of wallowing in my volumptiousness, I have decided to go pro-active about changing it. Katie and I found this 6-week diet that promises to help us lose 30 pounds and restore our lost metabolism. Well, we're on day 3 and I am dying! Seriously, when did dieting and excercising get so hard? I've got to start by saying I'm not a big diet fan. But I have gone on quite a few in my days to firm up the flab. But I remember it not being this big of a deal. So I had to have tuna and lettuce 3x a day and was rewarded with a 1/2 cup of cottage cheese. No big deal. I did it. This seems much harder. Maybe it's because I'm dishing out treats and savory meals all day long to two males who seem like every meal is their first. Or maybe it's because my sweet tooth has matured to an "I deserve this" status from the previous "what a treat" stage. Either way we're on board for the next 6 weeks and now I'm accountable to tell the world if I have failed - or not! Stay tuned for riveting details...
(For those of you who are picturing me and wondering if I have 30-plus pounds to lose, I have no idea. I really don't think so, but if it's promising me 30 pounds then I'd sure be happy with anything, really.)

I loved the word volumptiousness.
Tell me how to get some of that volumptiousness for myself. No one ever thought of me as volumptious. I don't think dieting and exercise will do it for me, darn it.

No way, you do not need to lose 30 pounds! Plus, I hardly consider you a "fatty"! That's crazy!

Good luck on getting to where you want to be, though, just do it smart so your results are long lasting. :)

Tuna and Cottage Cheese are both good for you. Does the diet offer any thing good in the 6 weeks? I think it would be hard (or impossible) for me to go without any treats for a whole 6 weeks. I guess that is why I have to workout so much - I love sweets way too much!! The best diet/exercise plan I have seen actually work well and people keep it off is Weight Watchers teamed up with a regular excercise plan or goal. Good Luck!!! I am curious to see how well you do! If you ever want to run in a race - let me know - I always need a running buddy :)
