Holiday weekend

Out here July 24th is a holiday, I think celebrating the pioneers entering Utah? Correct me if I'm wrong. Either way, there are parades, fireworks and fairs all over again. I like it! Since Dave was in Alaska fishing, I drove down south with the boy to hang out with family. We went to a 24th celebration during the day. There were shows, a parade, races, and all kinds of games. Easton loved the ride on the fire truck. He giggled the whole time. Easton made funny faces, but enjoyed sampling cotton candy from his cousins. Glade liked his too.Becken and Jordan loved getting dunked. Here's Brecken on his way down. That evening we went to the Bear Festival in Cannonville. Long ago a bear came into town, they shot it, had a bbq and party about it. Did I get that right? They don't eat bear anymore, but the fudge was drool worthy and Easton loved dancing to the fiddlers.
We sure had fun with cousins. Here's Brooklyn, Hunter, Brecken and Abby. I got to bring my MIL back home with me and we got lots of good shopping and playing in. Here's the ticket lady herself. You can imagine how many times she got asked for "more tickets!" She's a good sport - taking on 5 grandkids for the weekend by herself.

Those are some large fish that Reed caught. How much fun with all the activities. It looks like you have your own little group of kids, I bet Easton loved it.
