Christmas Spirit

We bought this book for Easton, called Follow the Star, for the Christmas season. It's about teh Wise Men's journey to see the baby Jesus. If you've read it, it tells the story with them traveling months to find Jesus, and when they do Jesus smiles and claps and they're living in a house. I am embarrassed to admit how little I truly know the scriptures. I read it thinking I shouldn't have bought this, it's not even accurate. Then Tara sent me a link to a Christmas themed talk, given way back in 1976. (Thanks Tara!) It's called "Maybe Christmas Doesn't Come From a Store." Besides being a most inspiring and excellent talk, it taught me about the wise men's journey. If you have an extra 3 minutes right now, I highly suggest clicking over and reading this. You'll gain a different and uplifting perspective on Christmas.

Thank you for sharing that talk. It was everything I needed and wanted to hear. Isn't Elder Holland amazing? Have a very Merry Christmas!

what a great talk Kelly. I love it. What a great time for us to reflect on our Savior and not only his birth, but his life.
