Does anyone else share this issue with me? Please, and I hope someone has a solution! I hate these spout laundry detergents. Yes, hate hate hate! They're supposed to be all clever and convenient. Just push the button and fill. No heavy lifting required. Really, are those containers really that heavy? Hardly. What drives me absolutely mad is the dirty cup you're left with. All the detergent doesn't pour out; you can't replace the cap for draining or storage. It just sits there until next time. In the mean time the leftover deterdent gets gooey and hardens and builds up. Sure I could rinse it out after every use, but then that adds another 2 minutes to the routine, and these days 2 minutes is a lifetime. You have to rinse and rinse and rinse and it takes forever, and then after that you're left with a wet sudsy cup, and I don't want to waste clean towels drying that off.
Am I being ridiculous? Possible. I won't rule that out. But this is a serious problem in my laundry world. Can anyone help??
(BTW - I would switch and not buy this style, but it is the only one I can find in my favorite lavendar scent made for HE appliances, and it's a good price)

How about putting the cap in the washer. It would get cleaned out during the cycle.
I toss the cup in the washing machine with the load (we have a front loader, but I've done it with both types) and it comes out clean. Then I replace the cap when I transfer the load from the washer to the dryer.
Congrats on the beautiful baby, Kelly! I just throw my cup in with the wash and let the washer do the cleaning for me -- hope that helps! Anne
I just throw it in with the wash. Then take it out when you switch loads plus if you forget and it goes in the dryer it won't melt. It works for me I hate the left over soap in it as well.
Brilliant! Why couldn't I think of that? Thanks :)
My friend Misty says to fill the cap, and throw the whole cap in the washer w/the load. OH-I guess Diane already wrote that. SORRY
