The Hunt

It's that time of year. The hunt. Oh yes. Deer, elk, squirrel, rabbits...whatever. Ok, so I'm kidding. Just deer and elk. Dave decided to just go for a deer and also hunted with his brother, Todd, for an elk for him. Since being in school and in Virginia, and on his mission, Dave hasn't had a 'real' hunt for a good 9 years or so. (I think that's right) So he was/is very excited.
We all traveled to southern Utah where Dave hunted with his dad and brother and I got to relax and enjoy the company of my SIL's and MIL. It was great. Todd succeeded in getting a nice elk the first morning they went out. Dave still hasn't got his deer but don't feel bad for him, he enjoys the hunt as much as the kill. And apparently he has another couple months, yes months, to work on it.
I really did get to put my feet up and rest. I do feel rejuventated. Thank you so much Gay for making that possible! Crystal (SIL) and I went to the parade of homes in Cedar City. I hated how I got tuckered out so fast. But it was fun. Saw some good ideas. Not a lot of wow's, but we enjoy the kid-free process of it all. Thank you again, Gay, for driving over to watch the kiddos for us. We sure do owe you! Traci (SIL) was a magician and made all sorts of beautiful jewelry for me from beads that I bought years ago. I'm so excited about it. And she did it all while I was there, even better.

Easton had a ball. His new thing is when approaching anyone to say "Hi ____. How's it going?" You can have a psuedo conversatin with him now. SO great.

Eating 'grandpa's grapes', a most favorite past time.

Digging, his new obsession.
