My must-haves of 2008

There's a reasonable list of items that I have noted as absolute must-have, can't live without. Thought I'd share.

Vaseline - a basic staple. I have some in every part of my house and car. My lips are addicted!

Since moving to the desert my feet have turned into reptilian-like appendages. There's nothing worse than crawling into bed or putting on socks and having your dry skin get caught. I finally found some heel cream from Neutrogena that has made my feet beautiful looking and feeling again. I also love the soft coconut smell. I'd die without this!
I randomly came across a clearance shower curtain at the dreaded Wal-Mart when we moved in. It was the exact color/style I wanted (sage green/hotel-look simple), and super cheap, so I picked it up. What a great move! Turns out it has a nylon curtain that is attached by a nylon zipper (no rust). I'm in love. Now every couple weeks I just unzip, throw it in the wash, and then re-zip it on. Fresh clean shower curtain more often with no fuss. And no waste. Yes, I admit I was the one who would throw away the yucky vinyl curtain and replace it at the dollar store. Now the earth is happier too.

A few years ago I finally found a foundation for my skin. I've always hated the feeling of everything else I tried. Thick, oily, smudgy, fake looking. This is by md skincare, called All-In-One Tinted Moisturizer Sunscreen SPF 15. Name says it all!

I feel unfinished when my lips are bare. Usually I compensate by keeping them wellcovered in Vaseline. But when I remember or want a little something extra without feeling completely made up, or sometimes even then too, I wear lip gloss. What's not to love about it? I particularily like Neutrogena's Moisture Shine Gloss. For me a good gloss is hard to find.

Do you have a wrap dress yet? After a hundred episodes of "What Not to Wear", I finally went out and bought myself one. They're right! It really does look good on almost every body. Now, I don't know what others think of me in it, but I feel much more grown-up and feminine wearing a real dress again, rather than skirt and shirt. I also love that they are great for travel, and can be thrown in the wash without fear. And, you can gain/lose a few pounds and it'll still look great. Target has lots to choose from for only $24.99. What are you waiting for?!?!

What's on your list?

Thanks for sharing! I want to try the lip gloss. It is amazing what a little lip gloss can do to your face when you dont have time to doll up. I had a wrap dress when i was pregnant, and I loved it, I need to get me one I can wear now too.

For the past 7 years I have just been wearing skirts and tops and my husband keeps telling me I should wear a dress but I always say that dresses don't look good on me. I should try a wrap dress.

I will have to get some of that heel cream. Especially this summer. It gets worse in the summer by the way.
