Really, this week I think I win the award for doing the most things in the shortest amount of time.
Yesterday I lost my credit card at Wal-Mart. It's bad anough I have to go there on a regular basis, and then this. I'm not going to humiliate myself further by telling you how I lost it, though. So I totally freak out (Dave said "Why'd ya freak out? You never do that about anything." It's like tv. This wouldn't be as good of a story if I didn't, right?). I immediately call Discover when I realized what had happened and canceled it. (The card had been missing for roughly 4-5 hours.) After I hung up the phone I thought well, maybe I should try calling Wally and see if it was turned in. Lo and behold it was. I call Discover back and they can't reverse the cancel/reassign. UGH!
So, I have to wait another week to get a new card. Then the fun part comes of updating everything that I have auto-withdrawl through Discover. Stupid, stressful, but fixable.
Then TODAY. Easton and I went for the funnest play date ever with Katie and Gage. Katie and I agree that we won super-cool-most-fun-mom award for it too. More on that later. As we go home I put Easton's totally not leak proof sippy cup in my purse along with the other usuals-wallet, phone, camera, etc. (PS-I do this all the time. Ya, I know, stupid. Remember the heading of this post?) Anyway, you know what happened. Water spilled all over and drowned my phone and camera. Neither work at all, for now. I took them both apart and they're drying. We'll see if there is a miracle in the morning.
The up side of it all? I was shown once again how wonderful my husband is. I tell him these things and he just shrugs it off saying it's not that big of a deal. We can fix it. He's better than me for sure. I'm super lucky after all.

Try putting your phone (maybe the camera as well) under a small lamp to dry it even more. Brian washed his in the washer and dryed it under a lamp. It took about 3 days but he is still using the same phone 2 yrs later.
I want to know about the super fun play date. sorry you had one of those "stupid" days. A great husband does help though.
Oh I do stuff like that all the time! We are all human. At least now your husband can show how calm, collected and understanding he is.
I wanna hear about the super cool awesome fun thing you did!
throw out all those leaky sippy cups! NOW!
and I lost my credit card a while back and then found it and couldn't get the reversal either...i know how you feel.
OH no! How frustrating Kelly! At least you were a cuper cool Mom in the process!
