Easton is very into tractors right now. (BTW, a tractor is any type of large construction-like vehicle. )
He just gets downright giddy even thinking about them. Like when he wakes up in the morning we can hear him saying mumbo jumbo mixed around 'tractor' and 'car.' I got a little jealous wishing I could be pleased so easily. Then I realized I kind of am. Like today I got a couple little plants from the nursery. I love 'em! They're so pretty, add life to my home and make me feel like I brought fresh air into the house. 
That counts, right? So, I just need to recognize my simple pleasures more and enjoy them I guess. Try it.
