The office is going to take first priority. I think it may be helpful to be able to keep track of our bills. This will also be my project room to sew, write letters, and try to keep up with the birthdays that I have been forgetting for the past...2 years. Sorry everyone. Anyone have any great ideas of where to find a reasonably priced file cabinet that looks pretty good and has more than one drawer? At least 2-3 would be nice. I am thinking I might just visit the thrift store and buy a super ugly metal one and paint it something fun. Yea, I may have to do it. Actually, that'd be fun.
I'm also thinking about going to Lowe's and looking for some table legs and boards that I can build an L-shaped desk unit. Or Ikea might come into play on this one. I love that it's only 15 minutes down the road. Lucky me! Anyway, here's one of the table legs from Ikea that I'm considering:
I had a yard sale Saturday.Yep, I found more junk to let go of. And guess what: I got rained out! HUGE thunderstorm. It was a great one - but bad timing. Seriously, when does it rain in the desert? It turned out ok, though. I sold all my big ticket items and I'm going to do it again this next weekend. It'll be easier than hauling it away. I've decided that selling my stuff and giving someone else a bargain is almost as exciting to me as buying a bargain. Am I twisted?

I'm so excited that you are settled. I can't believe you had another yard sale. I need to be more like you and not afraid to try new things. I can't wait to come and see your house and hang out with you guys.
I am impressed that you are thinking about building a desk. That is great. Hope all goes well, in getting organized.
oooo painting a file cabinet will be such fun! i've always wanted to try metal paint. one day, when we have the need for an extra fridge/freezer, i want to let my kids go wild with paint on it. i'll be the coolest mom ever!
